Organ Transplant
Individuals who are awaiting or have received an organ transplant live on the jagged edge of reality that mere mortals never venture. They are navigating the unfortunate realities of their failing bodies while fighting to stay alive. As a heart transplant recipient, myself, I am intimately aware of the specific challenges that come with this unfair burden. There are good days and bad days at every step of this journey. My hope is to offer a space to support these individuals and their families as well as provide support and guidance as they move through the transplant process. This includes supporting individuals who are being assisted with mechanical supportive devices (such as LVAD’s and Total Artificial hearts), those on dialysis, etc. I maintain a personal and professional relationship with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Heart Transplant Program.
